The effects of frost in the pneumatic system

Condens can undo lubrication and frost blocks operation of parts

If cold causes condensation to build up in your compressed air system, it can undo the lubrication of your cylinders and valves, freeze and block the operation of a cylinder or valve, or cause a filter unit full of condensation to rupture. Therefore, have everything thawed before replacing parts and returning them to the manufacturer. But even in a bone-dry pneumatics system, a valve cannot switch because the valve's rubbers have hardened due to the low temperature. This is why MelQ offers valves with low-temperature seals that can still be switched even at -25°C. The seals of cylinders are suitable for low temperatures as standard.
