Dirt in the milking parlour

Dirt in the milking parlour

Dirt your pneumatics has to deal with in the parlour is abundant

The dirt that pneumatics in the barn has to deal with is nowhere more abundant than in the milking parlour. Caked-on manure, hair, dust, fly droppings, sand and whatnot have been found on and even in cylinders. Farmers who clean the barn well and often sometimes also spray the cylinder rods completely free of grease, or blow water and dirt under the piston rod seal under high pressure.

Advice from our MelQ specialists

When cleaning the barn, also grease the piston rod with a greasy rag. The new MelQ DMCA / RC cylinder has a heavily tested dirt wiper ring that scrapes all the dirt off your piston rod, keeping the piston rod seal in place. Good for operational reliability.
