Our mechanical engineers and technical specialists have many years of experience in compressed air distribution and pneumatics. We have a proven track record in finding solutions and achieving savings.
We distinguish ourselves through short response times and creative solutions. When standard products do not meet your specifications, our engineers are ready to find the right solution for you.
An engineering project stands or falls with a well-structured working method. As soon as we receive your request, we proceed carefully and systematically. Whether it's a single product or a series, each item is thoroughly tested before leaving our facility. With our JIT (Just-In-Time) deliveries, your production process will not come to a halt.
All our projects are accompanied by a document detailing all requirements and specifications. In addition, all custom solutions are drawn in 2D and/or 3D. We work with SolidWorks 3D, and upon request, we can supply customer-specific STEP files.
We are looking for new colleagues who have a passion for technology. The following vacancies are currently available.
If you have any questions about your application, please contact vacatures@qplus.nl mentioning "Engineering vacancies".
Fewer malfunctions in valve islands and reduced assembly operations
A major machine builder experienced frequent unexpected maintenance on a valve island that was difficult and expensive to repair and asked Q Plus to propose a technical solution.
After being briefed, we received a 3D model of the installation environment. Based on this, we created a Program of Requirements (PoR) that included the following goals:
The resulting solution was a customer-specific anodized aluminium manifold with a specified alloy. It incorporated four internally modified mini-valves capable of operating with both pressure and vacuum.
Although installed in the same location within the machine, valve replacement became easier than with the original design due to a 90° rotation and improved access to the screws. Many redundant assembly steps and brackets were engineered out. Corrosion issues caused by the acidic environment were solved by waterproof bonding of the coil and valve.
Following field testing and approval for the machine builder’s new production needs, we developed a dedicated assembly and testing cell, as well as customized packaging to minimize waste during transport between Q Plus and the customer.
Due to all these benefits, all existing machines in the field were converted during routine servicing within one year, thanks to the following clear advantages:
