Electricity and grounding

Quick and flexible access to the required hose length anywhere

More and more companies are recognising the advantages of using a self-retracting hose or cable reel. Reels offer many benefits: they save time because you never have to look for a quick coupling again. The service life of hoses or cables is significantly extended because they no longer drag across the floor, where they would wear or risk being driven over. You also eliminate hazardous situations caused by hoses lying across the workspace.

Because your hoses are always neatly stored, your workplace meets the requirements set by health and safety regulations. You always have the exact hose length you need quickly, flexibly and at any location and tidying up only takes seconds. There are reels for compressed air, water, high-pressure cleaning hoses, oil, grease or electricity. High-quality European-manufactured hose reels can be used for many years without problems — guaranteed by us!

Choose the right reel

A poorly chosen reel can cause unnecessary pressure loss. Most pneumatic tools are designed to operate optimally at a working pressure of 6.3 bar. Excessive pressure leads to unnecessary energy consumption and additional wear. Low working pressure results in severely reduced tool performance.

So always ensure the correct working pressure at your hand tools and consider the air consumption of your tools when selecting your hose reel. To determine the air consumption of your equipment, consult the manufacturer’s documentation or contact your supplier.

In dirty environments, or where users frequently work close to the reel, we recommend using a closed reel to prevent contamination or pinch hazards. When used correctly, a hose reel will last for many years. Make sure users are informed about proper operation and aware of relevant safety aspects. Always read the included installation and user instructions.

Usage tips

  • Ensure the hose can always be unrolled without lateral forces on the reel.
  • Always install an easily accessible ball valve in front of the reel so you can shut it off when needed.
  • Perform all maintenance only when the reel is depressurised.
  • Never open a reel (the rewind spring inside the drum can cause serious injury).
  • Repairs must only be carried out by the importer or trained personnel.
  • Make sure the connection hose is installed without tension.
  • Roll up the hose as clean as possible to prevent unnecessary damage to both hose and reel.
  • The hose is equipped with an adjustable hose stopper so you can set the desired free hose length outside the reel.
