Q Plus offers a large selection of pneumatic cylinders (air cylinders) readily available from stock — and we are proud of it!
Quality and reliability are important to us.
For many years we have partnered with leading suppliers who provide us with high-quality products and excellent delivery reliability.
Do you have special conditions and can’t find the most suitable pneumatic cylinder? Q Plus manufactures ISO cylinders and short stroke cylinders custom-made for you. When you order these customised pneumatic cylinders, they are delivered quickly in line with the delivery schedule we agree with you.
Global suppliers are vendors with worldwide coverage. They have many branches and are present in the major industrial regions across the globe. Excellent companies with excellent products and excellent people. Many exporting machine builders choose these global suppliers. They do so because of the local availability of replacement parts — but these global suppliers come with a price tag.
As an engineer or purchaser, you can significantly reduce costs on your pneumatic package with global products: products that are interchangeable worldwide in both form and quality, thanks to ISO standards. This increases both your competitiveness and your profit margin.
But why aren’t there any global suppliers for bolts and nuts? The reason is that these are available worldwide and are all produced according to the same standard. A DIN or ISO number in the bill of materials, thread size, length, and finally the tensile strength — and that’s it. This makes it a true global product: one that is available on every street corner worldwide and described exactly (according to standard).
If you apply ISO standardisation to your pneumatic components, you can save up to 20% on purchasing for the majority of your machines without any issues. Nearly all pneumatic components are defined in ISO standards, specifically to optimise market dynamics and interchangeability. Valves and cylinders are fully standardised and can be seamlessly interchanged one-to-one worldwide, giving you a major advantage.
For example: specify an ISO 15552 – 80 x 250 cylinder, and you can purchase from more than two hundred manufacturers worldwide. Add “PU seals” for a premium-quality sealing solution, and you’ll have a high-performance cylinder with a service life equal to any brand.
This way, you save substantial amounts on purchasing, and your international customer can rely on the local dealer to supply the same cylinder in their own country, thanks to ISO standards. You benefit from the best purchase price with maximum competitiveness, while your customer benefits from the wide choice of local suppliers.
If your sales team communicates this vision to your customers, they will not only appreciate your pragmatic product approach but will also be able to seize the same cost-saving opportunities themselves. The concept of global products does require that you know how to specify and assess the products correctly.
The HDM is a modern, lightweight ISO 15552 cylinder available with the wear-resistant polyurethane (PU) seals, or the high-temperature FKM seals. They feature end-stroke cushioning, are lightweight and very competitive in terms of price. Many versions are available, and always with the strong aluminium piston and hard-chromed C45 piston rod.
The HDM products are also available with an ATEX certificate. Optionally, you can adjust the materials and design of the cylinder, such as for example with stainless steel 316 piston rods, hollow piston rod or female thread on the rod, no end-stroke cushioning, or without a magnet in the piston.
The DMCA/RC is the further development of the PMY/RB cylinder. The DMCA/RC has been specially developed for applications where the compressed air quality varies and the outside air is aggressive such as in stable environments.
By using a highly corrosion-resistant cast alloy of the cylinder caps and a special confinement of the piston rod seals, the two main problems are solved. Cylinder corrosion will be virtually prevented, and there will no longer be any unexpected pulling out of the piston rod seal.
The YDM (RVS304) is designed for aggressive environments, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food industry and light offshore applications. By using stainless steel, many corrosion problems can be avoided. Using cast caps saves on both material and machining time, making the YDM series very competitive compared to other suppliers. The cylinders are available with ATEX certification on request.
The piston rod seal is a food grade polyurethane as standard for long life. The screw for adjusting the end stop damping is kept completely outside the cylinder so that no dirt can collect in the cylinder and it is easy to clean, entirely in accordance with HACCP requirements. Mounting accessories are available in stainless steel.
The UDM is the powerhouse of the ISO 15552 cylinders. The tie-rod cylinder is available in diameters up to Ø320mm. The cast caps are precisely machined to have a precise and light run even under the heaviest loads.
The UDM is a magnetic ISO cylinder with pneumatic end damping that is sold in good volumes in the heavy industry so the pricing is competitive. The piston is made of aluminium and of course we use polyurethane seals on the brushed cylinder tube for best longevity. The UDM is also available with an ATEX certificate.
Artec's single-acting cylinders receive compressed air on one side for actuation. A spring returns the unloaded cylinder with a low force out (e.g. HSM series, normal in) or in (e.g. HSEM series, normal out). These two types of versions are also called a pressure cylinder (e.g. HSM series) or pull cylinder (e.g. HSEM series). A spring is used to return the cylinder to the starting position.
These cylinders are fundamental in applications where - for safety reasons - an immediate return from the working position is required if an interruption in the compressed air supply occurs. In that case, the spring or push force returns the piston rod to the rest position.
