Veldhuizen Trucks - new compressed air piping network

The Veldhuizen Trucks site in Zwolle has expanded its workshop and relocated much of its activities to a newly built, adjacent truck and trailer workshop. In the previous situation, the compressor was located in a damp basement, and compressed air was distributed through a network of hoses and reels. For the new setup, a more efficient solution was required. After an on-site visit from one of our compressed air specialists, a proposal was made for the installation of a new air piping network.

Complete Network in the Basement and Service Pits

A special feature of this project is that almost the entire piping network is located in the basement and service pits. On the ground floor, nearly all that is visible are the reels, which are fed from the basement through hoses connected to lockable take-off points in the piping network.

The piping system, nearly 200 metres in length, consists of a Ø40 ring main with secondary lines of Ø32 and Ø25. This provides sufficient capacity for users, who generally operate large impact wrenches, to carry out their work without interruption. In the service pits, Ø25 piping with AluSic wall plates was installed in-line. Naturally, this customer also opted for high-quality, safe Prevost ESI couplings.
