Nitrogen is used in many environments.

Car tyres are filled with nitrogen so they maintain pressure for longer, and in industry nitrogen is widely used to displace air (blanketing).

This prevents unwanted chemical reactions caused by the oxygen in the air, taking advantage of the fact that nitrogen reacts slowly or not at all with other substances.

AluSic has developed a nitrogen piping system specifically for these applications.

Air contains 78% nitrogen, and pure nitrogen under pressure behaves no differently from compressed air.

The nitrogen piping system is therefore built in the same way as the compressed air system, but its green colour makes it immediately recognisable as a system for nitrogen distribution.
