ISO 15552 cylinder MCQV2L with integrated end-position lock

ISO 15552 cylinder MCQV2L with integrated end-position lock

Only movement via control of your system

Thanks to this mechanical safety function, the cylinder cannot move without a signal being given from the control of your system; in all other cases, the locking pin will be pushed by spring force into the retaining groove of the piston rod.

Advantages compared to a piston rod lock

  • To install a piston rod lock, an extended piston rod must be used. As a result, the installation length is no longer in accordance with ISO 15552.
  • The maximum holding force of a piston rod lock is limited; if this value is exceeded, the cylinder will still start to move.
  • No additional air connections are required. The release activation is controlled by internal air.

MCQV2L: Various locking options available

These cylinders are available with the following locking options:

  • Cylinder locked in the retracted position
  • Cylinder locked in the extended position
  • Cylinder locked in both positions

The diameters of these cylinders are standard available in Ø63 mm and Ø80 mm. If you are looking for another diameter, please feel free to ask about the possibilities.

Locking specifications

  • Mechanical lock, suitable only for the end positions
  • The cylinder is released when it is pressurised for a position change
  • The lock can also be released manually

These cylinders can also be used as fall protection. Ask us about the possibilities — we are happy to advise you on safety applications for your working environment.
