Pressure Relief Valves

Prevent Overpressure and Damage with a Pressure Relief Valve

Use a pressure relief valve to prevent overpressure in your pneumatic system or compressed air tank. This helps you avoid unnecessary damage to your pneumatic system.

Choose a Larger Connection than the Supply Port

The pressure relief valve applied should have a larger connection than the supply port. In this way, the exhaust capacity is greater than the supply capacity, and the system can always be vented down to the set maximum pressure regardless of the inlet. For example, if you use a ¼” connection on your supply line, we recommend a pressure relief valve with a 3/8” connection.

Pay Attention to the Opening Pressure

The desired opening pressure of the safety valve can be adjusted using the rotary knob on the top of the valve. When selecting the appropriate valve, make sure the required opening pressure falls within the specified pressure range of the safety valve.
