Switching pressurised media

Solenoid valves are shut-off valves used to control pressurised media. The solenoid ensures the valve can be opened or closed.

These valves are used to allow, block, or redirect liquids or gases. Applications include opening, stopping, dosing, distributing, or mixing media via two or more ports. They are small, compact, integrated systems and therefore easy to install.

Applications

Solenoid valves are ideal for fast, precise, frequent, and safe switching of various media such as oil, water, hot water, steam, and air.

These valves are highly suitable for clean media but are more sensitive when used with contaminated media. Clean media does not contain slurry, stones, particles, or residues that could clog solenoid valves.

Seals

An important part of solenoid valves are the sealing materials. The most commonly used materials are NBR, EPDM, and FKM.

The material choice strongly depends on the chemical properties and the temperature of the medium controlled by the solenoid valve.
