Quick couplings for airconditioning

Quick couplings for airconditioning

SPF | Up to 250 bar

The SPF is a quick coupling with nominal bores of 6, 9, 14 and 17 mm, specially developed for charging systems with refrigerants at filling pressures of up to 250 bar. By using double seals throughout the coupling, a highly secure connection is achieved that can be coupled under pressure up to 40 bar. No contamination or air inclusion occurs during connection, and disconnection is performed without any loss of medium.

As an additional barrier against premature refrigerant evaporation, a special dust cap is available that can be screwed onto the coupling. The couplings are screw-to-connect and feature a swivelling rear section that makes operation considerably lighter. Depending on the refrigerant, the correct seals are selected. If required, SPF couplings can be adapted to match your filling connections.

RPE | SAE J639 Charging Connections

The quick coupling for SAE J639 charging connections in air conditioning systems.

For charging air conditioning systems with an SAE J639 filling port, the RPE is available in two colour-coded nominal bores: RPE 11 mm and RPE 14 mm, designed for the filling and return line. The coupling simply pushes onto the filling port and can be released with a single press of the button.

As filling nipples in air conditioning systems are not always of consistent quality, the O-ring can sometimes wear out prematurely. With this coupling, the O-ring can be replaced quickly and easily without dismantling the quick coupling, saving considerable time compared to other filling systems.

Even for non-standardised connections, a suitable coupling can be customised for you. The RPE is widely used in the automotive industry, where it is connected to hose barbs, allowing cooling lines to be tested with ease.

CBI | Coolants

The CBI is a versatile dry break coupling suitable for water-glycol mixtures and other coolants. This quick coupling is available in nominal bores of 3, 6, 9, 12 and 16 mm. Connection and disconnection are simple: just push in or pull back the sleeve (single-hand operation). A wide range of connection options is available.

The coupling is particularly common for cooling water applications in the plastics industry. Thanks to its long, hardened guide, the coupling is highly stable and will not disconnect or leak accidentally. It is also suitable for thermal oil as a coolant, for example in the aluminium die-casting industry. Depending on the application, we select the most appropriate sealing material for your system.
