Cooling couplings with straight-through design

The RPL-ESR series cooling water couplings are straight-through couplings, available with flow diameters of 6, 8 and 12 mm.

Special bushings, recessed or non-recessed, are screwed into the mould, while the plug is mounted on the injection moulding machine. The plug has its O-ring seal on the outside. This design prevents the sealing surfaces inside the bushing from being damaged during installation or removal. The coupling provides long, stable guidance and ensures the seal is never damaged. Should the O-ring wear due to constant mould movement, it can be replaced very easily and quickly. In practice, replacement will rarely be necessary — thanks to its smart design, the RPL-ESR from Stäubli and Ludecke offers the longest service life and lowest maintenance compared to HASCO and DME cooling water couplings.

In addition, the series features a convenient identification system for distinguishing different channels. Colour coding allows faster and error-free connections:

• Blue = cold = cooling channel in
• Red = hot = cooling channel out

The bushings are pre-fitted with Teflon® tape for faster installation, and multiple mounting options are available. A first-class cooling coupling for demanding users that eliminates unnecessary cooling water leaks during injection moulding.
