Single-acting cylinders

Artec's single-acting cylinders receive compressed air on one side for actuation. A spring returns the unloaded cylinder with a low force out (e.g. HSM series, normal in) or in (e.g. HSEM series, normal out). A spring is used to return the cylinder to its initial position.

These cylinders are fundamental in applications where - for safety reasons - an immediate return from the working position is required if there is an interruption in the compressed air supply. In this case, the spring or push force returns the piston rod to the rest position.
