DIN 43650 Connectors for electrically operated valves

DIN 43650 Connectors

The shape of the coil used on the valve determines which connector you need.

The coil’s connection pattern conforms to DIN 43650 and may, for example, be Form C, Form B or Form A.

These shapes indicate the size and shape of the pins, as well as the location and spacing of the pins on the coil.

Connectors for All Voltages

All-voltage connectors can be used for any voltage up to 230 V. They are available with or without cable, with M8 connection, or with M12 connection.

Connectors with Varistor

These connectors are also available with or without cable. However, they are voltage-dependent due to the use of an LED and a varistor.

A varistor is a voltage-dependent resistor, whose resistance changes depending on the voltage applied to it.

Do not confuse a varistor (a contraction of Variable and Resistor) with a potentiometer or variable resistor.

A varistor can be used as surge protection: at low voltage it has very high resistance, but at high voltage this value decreases rapidly.

Voltage-dependent resistors are increasingly used to protect sensitive electronic equipment. This component can absorb large amounts of electrical energy in a very short time, thus diverting dangerous voltage spikes.
